The Clean Air Task Force is a US based non-governmental organization that has been working to reduce air pollution since 1996. They will often focus on targeting emission sources that are neglected by other environmental organizations and scaling up deployment of technologies that are crucial for decarbonization. By donating a dollar it is estimated that it allows them to avert 1 metric ton of CO2. Since 1996 they have successfully campaigned to reduce the pollution caused by coal-fired power plants in the US, helped limit the US power sector’s CO2 emissions, and helped establish regulations of diesel, shipping, and methane emissions.
